iAne, born in West Sumatra in Indonesia, grew up in a musical family. Her father, a talented artist himself, gave iAne her first music lessons and introduced her to various musical styles. At a young age she recorded her first album with him and appeared on Indonesian TV.

“My father gave me direction in my own music. Use your voice, that’s your thing.”

At the age of 19 iAne moved to the Netherlands, where she became a victim of domestic violence far away from her family. Eventually iAne fled to a women’s shelter where after a period of therapy and coaching, she left the shelter with a renewed sense of self-determination and self-confidence. 

During this time iAne used her music to remain positive, stand strong, process all that had happened and look forward – the tracks she now produces are all autobiographical, showing her journey, or struggle even, in becoming truly free, making confident choices and decisions.

Over the years, iAne has performed as a vocalist with various bands in Europe. When she got her first acquaintance with the versatility of the dj scene she decided to develop herself as a dj as well as being a vocalist. A special combination that has led to the current success of Vocal DJ iAne.

As of 2012, iAne has been actively developing herself as an artist. To this end, she has entered into collaborations with various producers and coaches.

Since 2014, iAne combines her voice with various music styles as a DJ on international stages. This makes her a beloved artist at private and company parties, festivals, benefit events and various clubs at home and abroad. Due to iAne’s on stage presence and confidence, she is able to respond flawlessly to the audience ensuring that everyone has a special evening.

Anyone who has seen iAne perform knows exactly what she means by that.

After a period of searching and experimenting, iAne has developed her own style by means of production and made recordings at home and abroad. Tracks such as ‘I Turned Into Us’, ‘Love Blind’ and ‘Radio Love’ have been mixed and mastered in Amsterdam, London and New York by the engineers of Calvin Harris and Rihanna.

iAne: What I strongly believe is that everyone is longing to be free. Free from prejudice, free from feeling judged and free from feeling controlled by others. On stage I feel the real freedom, even more than in my daily life. I want to bring that feeling across, even if it is only for one moment.
